December 13th 2008: David Gortler has been appointed as a Medical Officer and Senior Medical Analyst at The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in The Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology (DMEP) in The Office of Drug Evaluation II (ODEII) as a pharmacology expert/drug expert where he will be reviewing new drug applications on statins, lipids, cholesterol, atheropregoression and related metabolic disorders. Dr. Gortler will continue teaching on a part-time basis at The Yale School of Medicine. [end]
